The pages are sewn in a Coptic style with exposed spine. Eight needles are used in tandem to achieve this effect. The boards with tight squares are attached by the threads to ensure a strong binding. A metal plate, made from a drawing of the penknife in one of the illustrations in the text, is blocked in gold on the front panel. The edges are lightly trimmed to sharpen the text edges.
44 pages, 280 x 205mm, printed on 170gsm Magnani mould-made paper. Number 230 of edition of 230. Bound in 2012 by Sayaka Fukuda of the Wyvern Bindery.
